Many people struggle with feeling flawed or defective in some way. Sometimes they know why but find it hard to do something about it. Other times it is not clear why such feelings exist in the first place. Either way, they experience low self esteem and low self confidence. I use well-researched techniques to help people build their self esteem and recognize and celebrate their unique value and self-worth.

Why are some relationships so hard? Sometimes you need professional help to understand relationship patterns and the ways in which you behave in relationships. Or you may be wondering whether you should stay with someone, whether you should get married, or what changes need to take place to make a relationship work?  While my role is not to provide the answers for you, I can help you to think things through in a way that creates greater clarity and understanding.

As we age, we all go through different developmental periods marked by specific issues and challenges. Navigating the changes in ourselves and our lives is often not easy. I have specialized in helping people navigate complex transitions at many different stages of life.

 

My Approach

Because I help people with a wide variety of problems, I draw on several different approaches and best practices depending on the needs and goals of the individual. I have had specific training in evidence-based practices that have undergone empirical, scientific testing and have been found to be effective. These include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. But I do not believe in 'a one-size-fits all' approach, so I draw from other disciplines, such as schema therapy, neuroscience, meditative traditions, psychodynamic and positive psychology, in order to tailor treatment accordingly.
